Senior Engineer, Failure Analysis, NTI

About the role

Micron Technology, a leader in memory and storage solutions, is looking for a Senior Yield Failure Analysis Engineer in its NAND Technology Integration (NTI) Singapore department. The role provides yield analysis for next-generation Micron products and makes the engineer a domain expert on physical failure analysis methods for electrical failures. It also involves identifying and communicating yield issues and helping root cause analysis of process deviations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis including electrical characterization, electrical verification to confirm failures, and understanding of physical failure analysis (PFA) techniques for de-processing failures.
• Drive failure analysis initiatives for the yield enhancement team and create new methodologies and capabilities for de-processing failures.
• Take part in global meetings and present results to Product Development and Process Integration teams.
• Work with metrology and RDA teams to redefine and validate inline detection capability.
• Support the transfer of layout and architecture fundamentals from R&D to the manufacturing fab.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures and requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science or Chemical Engineering.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in failure analysis or PFA, including electrical characterization and verification and PFA techniques for de-processing failures.

Required skills

• Fluency in Python, JavaScript, C or C++ is desirable.
• Windows and Linux environments are desirable.
• JMP statistical software is desirable.
