Senior Executive Engineer, Asset Management (Renewal & Planning)

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is recruiting a Senior / Executive / Engineer for Asset Management (Renewal & Planning). You will manage the Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) assets so they perform at optimum level and quality, balancing useful life against life extension or timely renewal. You will act as the LTA's gate-keeper for the high reliability and availability of the Singapore MRT and LRT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor asset condition and manage the whole system life cycle, making trade-off decisions to optimise useful life versus life extension or renewal.
• Collaborate with Public Transport Operators and LTA divisions (engineering, project, contracts, programme planning) to lead surveys of railway stations and tunnels and develop replacement methodologies including associated works.
• Use whole life cycle models to build long-term renewal and replacement plans, with a sustainable cash flow forecast.
• Support the asset replacement plan and manage replacements for the next 30 years.
• Prepare, submit and seek approval for funding of replacement projects, and coordinate their implementation.
• Develop and manage the master asset replacement plan and multi-year cash flow (MYC) submissions.
• Support stakeholder engagement and governance for asset renewals.

Required profile

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, systems or rail engineering.
• Preferably railway infrastructure, platform or service system knowledge and experience in renewal planning, site coordination and installation works.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, professional and objective.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
• Candidates with relevant experience will be considered for higher appointments.
