Senior / Executive / Engineer (Data Standards & Information)

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is looking for someone to join its asset management team and help develop and enhance its digital asset management platforms. These platforms bring together rail asset information to support a comprehensive view of asset health, performance, condition, supportability and renewal needs across the MRT network, enabling better maintenance and lifecycle decisions. The role is hands-on and suits someone who enjoys wearing several hats.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a business analyst, working with rail engineers to understand asset management needs and turn them into clear requirements.
• Act as a scrum master, running the delivery rhythm, planning sprints, unblocking the team and keeping developers and citizen developers moving.
• Help establish the data standards that underpin reliable asset information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across LTA, rail operators, contractors and system manufacturers so the platforms integrate well with the wider rail asset management landscape.

Required profile

• Knowledge in Engineering (electrical/electronic, civil, mechanical), Computer Science, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Experience in business analysis, Agile delivery, requirements gathering, scrum master, product owner or similar is highly valued but not essential for fresh graduates.
• Genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn and experiment with new tools and data platforms.
• Comfortable working with data, data models, data standards and dashboards.
• Excellent writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; team player with critical and logical thinking, able to work independently.
• Previous experience in railway system design, operation and maintenance is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; the shortlisting process may require a medical declaration and/or further assessment.

Required skills

• Added advantage: familiarity with Figma, Snowflake or Databricks.
• Added advantage: knowledge or experience of BIM / Asset Information Modelling (AIM) processes or data standards.
