Senior Executive, Finance Ops (Contract) - Insurance

About the role

A well-established life insurance organisation is looking for a finance professional to join its finance operations and reporting team. The role covers commissions, reconciliations and controls, with exposure to financial reporting, distribution operations, process improvement and stakeholder management. It is a temporary, contract position based in Singapore, with work from home or hybrid arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Assist with financial reporting processes and related regulatory submissions
• Monitor operational system activities and coordinate resolution of exceptional items
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations and ageing reports
• Partner with distribution and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial transactions and period bookings
• Act as a finance representative for system enhancements, process improvements and change initiatives
• Support balance sheet reconciliations, substantiation activities and finance control requirements

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (completed or in progress) is advantageous
• 2+ years of experience in finance operations, financial reporting or accounting
• Exposure to the insurance industry is highly preferred
• Experience managing commission accounting, distribution-related expenses or reconciliations is beneficial

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with finance systems, process automation or data analytic tools is advantageous

What we offer

• Salary of SG$5,000 - SG$6,000 per month (SG$60,000 - SG$72,000 per year)
