Senior Executive, IT Lab Operations

About the role

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Senior Executive to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of its IT laboratory. You will ensure that lab facilities, equipment, and infrastructure are ready and reliable for faculty, students, and research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational efficiency of lab equipment, handle facility requests, and manage annual equipment budgets.
• Monitor consumable stocks, control lab access rights, and enforce safety and usage protocols.
• Keep accurate records of all lab assets, manage loans, transfers, disposals, and support faculty in sourcing new equipment or software.
• Set up and configure servers, workstations, virtual desktop environments, and provide email, remote, and onsite technical support.
• Ensure compliance with NTU IT policies and oversee centralised equipment infrastructure design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven hands‑on experience with software installation, hardware troubleshooting, and server administration.
• Strong proficiency in managing Linux‑based systems, including installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
