Senior / Executive / Project Engineer, Civil (MRT Construction)

About the role

This role leads the management of contractors building new MRT lines and enhancing existing ones, including stations and tunnels in elevated or underground construction. It covers safety, quality, progress and environmental impact of contractor works, and helps plan and manage contract risks and cash flows.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contractors for new MRT lines and enhancements to existing lines
• Oversee station and tunnel construction, including elevated and underground works
• Ensure safety, quality, progress and environmental compliance of contractor works
• Assist in planning and managing contract risks and cash flows
• Issue instructions and assess variations, payments and claims

Required profile

• Civil engineering knowledge with familiarity of local codes and transit construction
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects
• Underground construction experience, especially deep excavation and tunnelling, is an added advantage
• Good understanding of civil and trackwork interface requirements
• Demonstrated leadership and strong project management capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication; analytical, resourceful and results-oriented
• May need to work from project offices in Changi or Tuas; senior positions may be open to candidates with more experience
