Senior Field Product Readiness Engineer

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Senior Field Product Readiness Engineer in Singapore, leading technical readiness for advanced semiconductor equipment and ensuring smooth transitions from early readiness activities through high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead readiness validation for complex products, new modules, or multi‑site streams across service documentation, tooling, PM/CM, training, spare strategy and AIx readiness.
• Coordinate first‑install and readiness execution, capture lessons learned, and embed updates into installation, preventive‑maintenance and training materials.
• Develop and drive out‑of‑control action plans, FMECA analyses and escalation structures to address product‑line issues.
• Manage field sprint planning, backlog quality, risk tracking and KPI reporting such as MTBF, FTR and defect rates.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of hands‑on experience with Etch, Metal Deposition (MDP) or Dielectric Deposition (DDP) equipment.
• Proven expertise in product readiness, serviceability and new‑product introduction, with ability to lead cross‑functional projects.
• Strong system‑level understanding of fab operations and ability to translate field findings into actionable improvements.
• Excellent project‑management discipline, including sprint execution, backlog management and KPI tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, materials, chemical, industrial or automation engineering.
