Senior Finance Manager, Finance

About the role

Citic CLSA is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support its Singapore finance team, which manages several legal entities involved in global equity, fixed income and derivatives trading. The role covers day-to-day accounting, regulatory reporting, statutory accounts and liaison with the wider finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day financial accounting and monthly closing of the legal entity, including reviewing trade entries into the ledger, reconciling balances and performing data analysis.
• Calculate and monitor daily risk-based capital adequacy requirements of the MAS-licensed entity.
• Prepare quarterly regulatory filings.
• Liaise with the local, global and head office finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure streamlined controls and processes across group entities.
• Support the legal entity controlling function, including statutory accounts, liaison with external auditors, internal and external reports and tax provisions for other entities managed by the Singapore Finance Team.
• Take part in ad-hoc finance projects and provide insights to meet changing finance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accountancy or a related discipline.
• CPA qualified or working towards the qualification.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience; experience in financial institutions is required.
• Experience with Singapore regulatory capital adequacy calculations under Capital Market or Banking licenses.
• Experience handling financial and statutory audits.
• Knowledge of cash equities, equity-linked products, listed futures and options, swaps, fixed income and FX is an advantage.
• Strong command of spoken and written English, strong presentation and communication skills, and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Exposure to accounting applications, preferably SAP or a similar ERP system.
