Senior Industrial Engineer

About the role

The Senior Industrial Engineer leads the analysis, design and optimisation of manufacturing systems to improve safety, productivity, capacity, material flow, space utilisation, cost and operational performance. The role applies industrial engineering, Lean, data analytics and automation principles to build scalable, sustainable solutions across manufacturing and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing processes using time study, work measurement, line balancing, value-stream mapping and capacity analysis, and drive Lean continuous-improvement initiatives
• Design end-to-end material flow from receiving and warehouse through production to dispatch, including Kanban, milk runs and material-handling methods
• Lead factory layout and space optimisation, including new-product layouts, capacity expansion and equipment installation
• Develop capacity models and run scenario analysis to support manufacturing footprint and capital-investment decisions
• Maintain IE methodologies, standards and engineering guidelines, ensuring compliance with EHS, quality and regulatory requirements
• Analyse operational data, develop engineering KPIs and validate improvements with measurable before-and-after results
• Act as an IE subject-matter expert, mentor junior engineers and review engineering analyses and proposals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Engineering or a related discipline
• Typically 5-8+ years of relevant manufacturing or industrial engineering experience
• Preferred: Lean Manufacturing, work measurement, line balancing, capacity modeling, factory/warehouse layout, material flow, ergonomics and manufacturing systems
