Senior Internal Audit Executive

About the role

This senior position supports internal audit operations across multiple entities and regions, blending traditional risk‑based audits with data‑driven techniques, automation, and continuous monitoring. The role is central to enhancing audit effectiveness and agility within a fast‑evolving business landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of audits aligned with the overall audit plan.
• Conduct operational, financial, and compliance audits across geographies and business functions.
• Prepare detailed work papers and documentation that meet internal audit standards.
• Identify and assess significant risks, ensuring they are addressed through the audit process.
• Analyze business processes, recommend control improvements, and enhance efficiency.
• Utilise data analytics and audit software to streamline audits and deliver real‑time insights.
• Help implement continuous monitoring processes to proactively detect risks.
• Draft audit reports and presentations with clear, actionable recommendations for senior management.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to clarify findings and agree on remedial actions.
• Assist in quality reviews, training junior staff, and maintaining audit schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA or CPA (or actively pursuing) preferred.
• 3‑5 years of internal audit, risk, compliance or finance experience, preferably in a multinational group environment within Malaysia or ASEAN.
• Exposure to regulatory audits or multi‑entity audits.
