Senior IT Engineer (Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our Corporate IT team. In this contractor role you will act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, drive process improvements and support high‑profile users across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting for advanced issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
• Manage IT assets, coordinate with vendors and maintain shared devices such as video‑conference systems and printers.
• Identify and implement automation or workflow refinements, update knowledge‑base articles and SOPs.
• Collaborate with regional leaders, system engineers and network teams on projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Provide on‑site IT support for internal and external events to ensure seamless technical execution.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fast‑scaling environments, supporting senior executives or VIPs.
• Proven leadership and escalation‑management abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA or Cisco are a plus.

• ITSM tools: ServiceNow, JIRA, Freshdesk.
• Remote‑work technologies: VPN, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, remote‑access software.
• Operating‑system administration: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.
• Networking: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Cisco firewalls, switches and IP phones.
