Senior Java Full-Stack Developer

About the role

Standard Chartered is seeking a senior full‑stack developer to join its eTrading Solutions Delivery team in Singapore. You will work on proprietary financial‑markets systems that serve external customers, API clients, internal traders and multi‑dealer platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support Java‑based eTrading applications using modern tools and frameworks.
• Deliver high‑quality, business‑critical solutions and own the full development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with global technologists, business analysts, project managers and stakeholders.
• Provide second‑line support and ensure system reliability in real‑time, event‑driven environments.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to design and project decisions.
• Potentially progress to an engineering‑manager role.

Required profile

• Excellent Java developer with solid software design principles.
• Self‑starter who can drive requirements and development effort.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Strong background in end‑to‑end design, development and support of financial‑markets systems.
• Familiarity with real‑time, event‑driven architectures.
• Domain knowledge in derivatives e‑trading and UI development is a plus.
