Senior Manager, Costing

About the role

The Senior Manager, Costing leads the sourcing development costing function for a $1B+ FOB apparel portfolio across multiple manufacturing countries. This position drives the transformation toward a data‑driven, standardized costing process and partners with sourcing, engineering, product supply enablement, brand planning, product development and design to optimise margins.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central connector between Finance, Product Supply Enablement and Brand to own end‑to‑end product cost governance.
• Provide forward‑looking cost projections aligned with long‑range brand plans and identify margin improvement opportunities.
• Lead seasonal cost negotiations and product engineering initiatives for cost optimisation.
• Consolidate and communicate seasonal FOB status, risks and outlook across GTM milestones.
• Maintain a milestone‑based reporting cadence to track FOB evolution, highlight variances and drive corrective actions.
• Define and implement standardized costing frameworks that can be scaled across vendors and brands.
• Ensure regional alignment to a unified strategy while establishing clear performance standards.
• Build organisational capability in cost engineering, negotiation and data‑driven decision making.
• Serve as the global functional authority for costing, influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
