Senior Mechanical Engineer – Drafting Focus

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong drafting focus. In this role you will create and maintain high‑quality 2D and 3D drawings that translate engineering concepts into manufacturable documentation, supporting our manufacturing, fabrication and assembly teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Inventor.
• Apply proper dimensioning, GD&T, material specifications, surface finishes and technical notes in line with ASME/ISO standards.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, engineering feedback and project requirements.
• Maintain drawing files, revisions and version control through PDM/PLM systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and suppliers to resolve drawing‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing small components with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering requirements and produce complete, manufacturable drawings.
• Familiarity with machining, sheet‑metal, welding and fabrication drawing practices.
• Knowledge of optoelectronic components is a plus.
