Senior Medical Technologist

About the role

Eurofins Scientific, an international life sciences company offering analytical testing services, is hiring a Senior Medical Technologist in Singapore. The role supports laboratory operations across disciplines such as Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology, Serology, Molecular Diagnostics and Microbiology, performing complex testing, supporting quality systems, supervising junior staff and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform, validate and troubleshoot laboratory tests and analytical instruments
• Maintain SOP compliance, safety standards and accurate reporting, including critical values
• Train, guide and orient junior staff
• Support quality assurance, documentation and continuous improvement
• Assist with workflow optimisation, specimen protocols and LIS operations
• Take part in regulatory and accreditation audits (MOH, CAP)
• Carry out Section Leader duties when appointed: lead day-to-day operations, maintain section SOPs and workflows, oversee inventory and equipment, coordinate audits and validation of new tests

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Good general health; no colour blindness
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication and professional integrity
• Willingness to perform shift duties as required

Required skills

• Strong technical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of laboratory testing, quality systems and LIS operations
