Senior Network Consultant

About the role

Sopra Steria, a listed European technology group, is hiring a Senior Network Consultant in Singapore, its regional headquarters for Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity services. The role covers solution architecture, network design, equipment configuration and delivery, and includes supporting the Work Package Manager and leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop or update solution architecture drawings, cost templates, the List of Supply / Bill of Materials and interfaces at project start
• Update network contributions to solution specifications, design documentation, acceptance test procedures and integration documents
• Define ATM equipment configuration and coordinate with Hardware Deployment and Integration, Tools Engineering, Customer Service and Site Services
• Load, configure, validate and hand over equipment to Software Integration in the factory and on customer sites, and support configuration changes
• Proactively support Project Design Reviews, identify risks and propose validated alternatives, and follow up on engineering process improvements
• In a leadership capacity, support the Work Package Manager: set objectives and roadmap, ensure on-time delivery, track progress, estimate tasks, relay communications and propose risk mitigations
• Act as main technical contact for the team, allocate and prioritise tasks, and ensure outputs comply with the configuration management process

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, IT or a related discipline
• Cisco formal certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCNA)
• 5+ years in similar roles delivering complex software-centric real-time systems, including leading small teams
• Demonstrated experience designing infrastructure and network architectures aligned with security standards and policies
• Ability to work on several activities at once, manage stakeholders and resolve conflicts
• Eligibility for Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs security clearance (CAT2)

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of Unix/Linux (Red Hat preferred)
• Familiarity with a wide range of computer and networking hardware, preferably Cisco
• Scripting with TCL/TK, Perl and Shell
• Desirable: mission-critical near real-time experience, large distributed networks, SAFe experience and French literacy
