Senior Occupational Therapist (Full-time, Part-time, Locum)

About the role

RENCI is recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist for full-time, part-time or locum positions. The role covers clinical assessment and treatment planning, supervision of therapy aides and students, and administrative and quality-improvement work.

Key responsibilities

• Clinical: conduct functional assessments, develop and modify individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation goals, act as the primary therapist, supervise therapy aides, take part in multidisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning, and keep accurate clinical records.
• Professional: follow the AHPC Code of Professional Conduct, protect patient confidentiality, pursue continuous professional development, liaise with external providers and statutory bodies, and supervise therapy aide students and OT students on clinical placements.
• Administrative: update daily patient statistics, manage OT equipment and resources, join quality improvement initiatives and research data collection, and lead departmental or hospital-level quality improvement projects.
• Safety: attend mandatory training such as BCLS, safe manual handling and fire safety, follow infection control and safety standards, and report workplace hazards.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Ministry of Health / AHPC, registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council with a valid practising certificate.
• Postgraduate qualification or relevant certification is an advantage; membership of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists is encouraged.
• Prior experience in geriatric community hospitals, long-term care or nursing homes is an advantage.
• Compassionate, empathetic and able to relate well to elderly patients and residents; strong team player committed to serving all patients and residents equally.
