Senior Operations Management Specialist – Cloud Engineer (AWS)

About the role

We are looking for a Level 2 Cloud Engineer to support Windows and Linux workloads on AWS in a secure, multi‑account environment. The role involves day‑to‑day operational support, troubleshooting and remediation for both operating‑system and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu).
• Perform OS‑level troubleshooting, service restarts, performance checks and log analysis.
• Support core platform services such as AD, DNS, GPO, WSUS on Windows and systemd, cron, yum/apt on Linux.
• Manage AWS resources including EC2, EBS, S3, Systems Manager, CloudWatch and related automation.
• Handle instance provisioning, resizing, snapshot creation, start/stop and recovery activities.
• Ensure operational readiness for UAT and production environments and facilitate BAU handover.
• Support network ingress/egress, VPC configuration, security groups, route tables and integration with AWS WAF and load balancers.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Windows Server and major Linux distributions.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS core services and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to work with ITSM tools for incident, problem and request management.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and security controls in AWS.
