Senior Pharmacist - Compounding Lab

About the role

SingHealth is hiring a Senior Pharmacist for its compounding laboratory. You will work in a GMP-certified facility preparing sterile and non-sterile extemporaneous pharmaceutical products for patients, and you will also be part of a multidisciplinary Nutrition Support Team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile extemporaneous products for patients in a GMP-certified facility
• Verify formulations, reconcile preparation steps and check and release prepared products with appropriate documentation
• Take part in quality assurance activities so that cleanroom facilities and processes meet GMP requirements
• Train staff in cleanroom practice, quality assurance, aseptic dispensing techniques and maintenance of facilities and equipment
• Contribute to the Nutrition Support Team by designing and modifying individualized treatment plans to maintain or restore optimal nutrition
• Provide direct patient care: patient assessment, feeding regimen formulation, clinical monitoring and identification of drug-nutrient interactions
• Take part in regular inpatient clinical rounds and/or ambulatory care clinics
• Communicate timely and accurate drug information and educate patients, students and other healthcare workers on safe and effective medication use
• Pursue research in clinical and/or translational areas, aim for US Board Certification in Nutrition Support and obtain privileging rights to prescribe Total Parenteral Nutrition

• Eligible for registration with the Singapore Pharmacy Council
