Senior Physiotherapist

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, an integrated acute and community hospital with specialist outpatient clinics, is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to deliver high-quality specialist physiotherapy care within a multidisciplinary team. The role also offers opportunities to lead service innovation, mentor colleagues, turn research into practice and help shape the future of physiotherapy services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based specialist care for complex cases, independently assess, diagnose and manage patients including walk-in cases, while maintaining patient safety, quality standards and accurate documentation
• Take part in clinical audits, quality improvement and service development initiatives
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior physiotherapists, therapy assistants and students, and support clinical education, in-services, workshops and patient education programmes
• Translate research and emerging evidence into practice, and take part in or lead research, innovation or programme evaluation projects, presenting findings locally or professionally
• Support day-to-day operations, service planning and workload management, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to service improvement and data analysis
• Depute for supervisors and provide after-hours or on-call coverage when required

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualifying pathway)
• Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Experience across core rotations: Neurology, MSK/Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics
• Strong clinical expertise in a physiotherapy specialty area
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and collaboration skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development, research and innovation
