Senior Physiotherapist

About the role

Ren Ci Hospital is hiring a Senior Physiotherapist to provide assessment and treatment that supports the rehabilitation of patients and residents. The role is rotational across the Community Hospital, Chronic Sick Unit, Nursing Home and Senior Care Centre settings.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive assessments of mobility, transfers, ambulation and functional capacity
• Develop, implement, review and modify individualised treatment plans and rehabilitation goals
• Deliver interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, functional training, gait and balance training and use of assistive devices
• Educate patients and caregivers and communicate with doctors and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and take part in multidisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning
• Supervise Therapy Aides and students on clinical placements where applicable
• Take part in departmental meetings, training, quality improvement and hospital initiatives, and comply with health and safety requirements
• Follow the AHPC Code of Professional Conduct, protect patient confidentiality and help manage risks in the role

Required profile

• Degree in Physiotherapy recognised by the Ministry of Health and registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) with a valid practising certificate
• Post-graduate qualification or relevant certification is an advantage but not essential
• Experience in a geriatric community hospital, long-term care or nursing home is an advantage
• Membership with the Singapore Physiotherapy Association is highly encouraged
• Responsible, compassionate and able to relate well to patients and residents
• Able to work as a team player and collaborate with colleagues to support holistic community healthcare
