Senior Project Management Engineer, Water Reclamation

About the role

This position sits in the Project Management Division of the Water Reclamation (Network) Department at PUB, within its Network Development Renewal Branch. It covers the full lifecycle of used water network projects, from tendering and contracting through to construction oversight and budget control.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, procure, administer, develop and manage all tenders and contracts in line with safety, budgetary, technical specification and procurement guidelines.
• Prepare project tenders in line with relevant codes of practice, technical requirements and procurement guidelines.
• Work with consultants and contractors to coordinate, consult and obtain stakeholder approvals for project implementation.
• Oversee construction works to ensure safety, services protection and environmental controls are in place and regulations are followed.
• Resolve technical and construction issues with consultants and contractors so projects stay on schedule.
• Assess progress claims and variation works in line with contract guidelines and specifications.
• Make budget projections and keep project expenditure within the planned cost.
• Address and resolve public and stakeholder feedback sensitively and professionally.

Required profile

• Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in project management.
• Preferred: knowledge of Public Sector Conditions of Contract and experience preparing specifications and tender documentation.
• Independent, result-oriented, self-driven team player with good communication skills.

• Structural and geotechnical analysis.
• Structural concrete, steel and geotechnical design to Eurocode.
