Senior Project Manager - Audit, Risk & Compliance

About the role

Great Eastern is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead technology initiatives across its Audit, Risk & Compliance portfolio. The role connects business outcomes, technology delivery, governance and change adoption, identifies practical uses of AI and automation, and owns delivery from problem definition through implementation and benefits realisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects and change initiatives, from discovery and planning through requirements, solution delivery, testing, deployment, adoption and benefits tracking.
• Frame business problems clearly, define measurable outcomes and align technology solutions with portfolio priorities.
• Build integrated project plans covering milestones, dependencies, resources, budget, procurement, vendors, risks and controls.
• Use Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methods depending on the initiative.
• Identify and assess practical uses of AI, generative AI, analytics and automation, with appropriate controls for security, privacy and responsible use.
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, such as requirements analysis, traceability, risk identification, test coverage and knowledge management.
• Present clear, evidence-based stories to senior management, steering committees, business users and technical teams, and run transparent reporting with delivery forecasts, decision logs and benefits metrics.
• Lead stakeholders across business, technology, cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, data, procurement, legal, compliance and vendors, and manage vendor performance and contracts.
• Apply internal governance, SDLC, change management, security, risk and regulatory requirements, and lead or support RFPs and steering committee meetings.
• Optimise resource allocation across multiple projects and promote accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, business, engineering or a related discipline.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years leading medium to large enterprise technology projects.
• Strong record of delivering projects across the full lifecycle, including business change, system implementation, integration, data migration or platform modernisation.
• Experience working in both modern and legacy environments and managing dependencies among applications, APIs, data, infrastructure and external services.
• Practical AI literacy or experience applying AI, generative AI, analytics or automation; formal AI product delivery experience is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, commercial and negotiation skills, including managing outsourced delivery and support arrangements.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, audit, risk, compliance or regulatory change is an advantage.

Required skills

• Understanding of SDLC, Agile and Waterfall delivery, testing, release management, production readiness, governance and technology risk controls.
• Ability to explain technical and risk topics in business language and to use data and evidence to challenge assumptions and give realistic delivery forecasts.
