Senior QC Chemist

About the role

The Senior QC Chemist ensures smooth Quality Control operations, supporting routine testing and new product introductions while adhering to cGMP, EHS, and regulatory standards. The role drives functional readiness, infrastructure support, and compliance across the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct timely testing and release for routine and new product activities.
• Train and mentor new joiners, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for QC readiness, instrumentation, and compliance tracking.
• Author and review laboratory documentation per global and local standards.
• Assist in resolving manufacturing or laboratory investigations and ensure timely closure.
• Support internal and external audits to achieve successful outcomes.
• Maintain QC infrastructure, including preventive maintenance, calibration, and technology refresh projects.
• Contribute to new product introductions, such as biologics and equipment qualification.
• Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Pharmacy, or Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and technical writing abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of GMP and laboratory operations.
• Effective collaborator with cross‑functional teams.
