Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

The Senior Quality Engineer will support the Section Head in managing daily Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) operations, identifying gaps and quality risks, and driving continuous improvement. This role leads engineers and inspectors in ensuring that all incoming materials meet strict engineering and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily IQA activities, plan workloads, provide technical direction and solve problems.
• Ensure incoming materials and components comply with drawings, specifications, ICPs and standards.
• Review and enhance inspection methods, sampling plans, measurement techniques and work instructions.
• Provide technical oversight for First Article Inspection, Form‑Fit‑Function checks and on‑site inspections.
• Lead investigations of non‑conformances, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions (SNCA).
• Analyse rejection trends, supplier defects and customer returns to identify recurring quality risks.
• Drive improvements in inspection turnaround time, quality controls and overall effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and advanced Excel analytics for IQA performance monitoring.
• Apply AI, automation and digital technologies to enhance inspection, data analysis and reporting.
• Coach engineers and inspectors to promote consistent inspection practices.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Quality or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Incoming Quality, Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality or Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of inspection processes, engineering drawings, ICP, FAI, measurement, sampling and non‑conformance management.
• Proven experience in supplier quality, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, lead improvement initiatives and guide a team.
