About the role
NHG is hiring a Senior Radiography Associate to support radiography services at the frontline. The role involves welcoming patients, assisting radiographers and doctors during examinations, and guiding patients through the radiology process.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and receive patients at the reception area
- Assist the radiographer in performing radiological examinations and X-rays
- Act as chaperon in the examination room alongside the doctor and radiographer
- Explain radiographic procedures to patients and look after them before and after X-ray scans
- Direct, accompany or assist patients on wheelchairs to waiting areas and examination rooms, and help transfer patients from wheelchair or trolley to the X-ray couch
Required profile
- NITEC (Intermediate) or 'O'/'N' level and above
- Basic computer knowledge
- Empathy and care for patients
- Responsible and a good team player
- Able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays
