Senior Resident Engineer – M&E (Construction)

About the role

The Senior Resident Engineer (M&E) will lead the site supervision team on a major construction project on Jurong Island. Reporting to the Project Construction Director, you will be on‑site full‑time, overseeing a team of Resident Technical Officers and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor up to ten M&E Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) to monitor, supervise and inspect contractor work.
• Plan and manage supervision rosters aligned with contractor schedules, including leave coverage.
• Perform hands‑on supervision, step in as RTO when needed, and conduct regular site checks.
• Report non‑conformances to the Consultant Team and coordinate resolution.
• Assist the Job Manager with technical and design issues and review construction drawings for discrepancies.
• Review approved shop drawings, ensure works follow approved plans and specifications, and verify compliance with authority regulations and safety standards.
• Lead coordination meetings, inspections, FAT, ICT, testing and commissioning activities.
• Maintain complete site records, inspection reports and documentation for audit and handover.
• Assess contractors' monthly claim submissions and provide accurate evaluations.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Registered Resident Engineer with IES (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in M&E site supervision or as a Resident Engineer on local building projects.
