Senior RF Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to lead RF and plasma engineering projects for semiconductor and flat‑panel equipment in Singapore. The role involves designing, troubleshooting, and integrating RF modules, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and delivering robust solutions to support advanced chip manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute RF and plasma projects, managing key suppliers and high‑value problems.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex RF/plasma issues with minimal supervision.
• Design and modify engineering assemblies, schematics, and detailed specifications.
• Plan, coordinate, and document engineering tests, supporting release to production.
• Integrate RF modules with mechanical, electrical, software, and process teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (5‑12 yrs), Master’s (4‑9 yrs) or PhD (3‑6 yrs) in EE or Physics with semiconductor equipment experience.
• Strong knowledge of RF‑plasma interactions in wafer processing.
• Ability to work independently, drive projects to completion, and mentor junior engineers.

Required skills

• RF power delivery systems, generators, matching networks, and filters.
• High‑voltage DC power supplies and RF generators for plasma generation.
• RF measurement tools: network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, RF sensors, power meters.
• Simulation and analytical tools for RF/plasma behavior.
• Plasma diagnostics and electromagnetic modeling (plus experience with PVD, CVD, Etch equipment).
