Senior Security Engineer (Splunk)

About the role

NCS is hiring a full-time Senior Security Engineer (Splunk) in Singapore. The role covers incident management, troubleshooting and patching of security solutions, service requests and change requests, and continuous monitoring of security systems, working closely with IT and cybersecurity teams.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to fault alerts and customer escalations on managed security technologies, escalating incidents within SLA to internal teams or external vendors until resolved.
• Troubleshoot product-specific technical issues within SLA and resolve them with internal teams and external vendors.
• Plan and apply regular updates to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain system compliance.
• Handle inbound Change Requests, Service Requests and other queries within SLA.
• Monitor security systems continuously and run regular health checks.
• Work with IT and cybersecurity teams on reporting and on improving security measures in ongoing operations.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends and implement proactive measures to strengthen the security posture.
• Ensure adherence to security standards and develop and update documentation and guides.

Required profile

• 5 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles.
• Practical expertise with one or more of Elastic, Splunk, Google SecOps or other SIEMs.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud-native security tools such as AWS IAM, Firewall/WAF, GuardDuty and KMS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Singapore citizenship, as the project is sensitive.
