Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Android), Wallet

About the role

Google is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Google Wallet team in Singapore. You will design, develop, and launch innovative Android features that power digital wallets for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Build new features and a scalable platform for Google Wallet on Android.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to enhance existing functionality.
• Integrate third‑party data and ensure smooth onboarding of new partners.
• Own end‑to‑end development from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and performance of large‑scale mobile applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development in Java or Kotlin.
• 3+ years of Android application development experience.
• Proven experience testing, maintaining, or launching mobile products at scale.
• Preferred: Master’s/PhD, 5+ years in data structures & algorithms, 1+ year in a technical leadership role.
• Understanding of user‑facing features and a strong sense of product excellence.
• Knowledge of payments, NFC contactless payments, or digital credentials.
