Senior Solution Architect – Big Data

About the role

As a senior member of Tencent Cloud's Big Data team, you will work directly with strategic enterprise customers across international markets to design and deliver end‑to‑end data solutions. You will combine deep technical expertise with customer‑facing leadership to help organisations modernise their data architectures and unlock the value of Tencent Cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Engage enterprise customers to understand requirements for big‑data architecture, real‑time processing, data lakes, analytics and data governance, and design scalable solutions for sectors such as e‑commerce, gaming and fintech.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, solution demonstrations and Proof‑of‑Concepts, supporting cloud migration, platform modernisation and architecture upgrades.
• Articulate the technical and business value of Tencent Cloud’s big‑data portfolio and develop differentiation strategies against AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake and Databricks.
• Act as the technical bridge between international customer‑facing teams and Tencent Cloud R&D, collaborating with product, engineering, sales and post‑sales teams.
• Identify recurring market requirements (data compliance, localisation, interoperability, multi‑cloud) and feed insights into product roadmap and globalisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in big‑data architecture, technical consulting, solution design or platform implementation.
• Strong knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and related technologies.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouse platforms, real‑time processing, serverless data services and open table formats.
• Familiarity with leading cloud data and analytics platforms.
