Senior SRE & Automation Engineer – Customer‑Facing GPU Cloud

About the role

Senior Site Reliability Engineer responsible for the end‑to‑end reliability of Bitdeer’s customer‑facing GPU cloud service, ensuring high availability, fast provisioning and an excellent tenant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own the reliability of the GPU cloud service, including availability, job completion, provisioning latency and tenant experience.
• Operate production Kubernetes clusters at scale (100–10,000 GPUs) and manage Nvidia GPU operator, device plugins, MIG and time‑slicing.
• Implement topology‑aware scheduling, GPU locality, NVLink domain awareness and network rail affinity.
• Manage customer lifecycle: onboarding, quota management, isolation (namespaces, network policies, RBAC, resource quotas, pod security) and off‑boarding.
• Automate Bare‑Metal‑as‑a‑Service provisioning, hand‑off, lifecycle and reclamation.
• Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, incident management with customer communication, and post‑incident reviews.
• Build and maintain observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, PagerDuty) with tenant‑aware dashboards and alerts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SRE or cloud operations experience, with at least 2 years managing GPU workloads at scale.
• Strong background in Kubernetes operations and multi‑tenant cloud platforms with strict isolation guarantees.
• Experience delivering customer‑facing cloud services, defining SLAs/SLOs and handling tenant incidents.
• Hands‑on experience with bare‑metal provisioning tools (Ironic, MAAS or custom solutions).
