Senior Staff Nurse

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, an integrated acute and community hospital with specialist outpatient clinics, is seeking Registered Nurses and Senior Staff Nurses to deliver safe, high-quality, holistic patient care. The role involves partnering with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to patients' clinical needs and care standards, and monitor patients' conditions and escalate changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, perform nursing procedures within scope, and keep accurate records of assessments, interventions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and multidisciplinary teams, and support admission, transfer, discharge and care transitions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, self-management and health promotion.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety and quality assurance standards, take part in quality improvement projects, clinical audits and patient safety initiatives, and report incidents, risks and near misses.
• Maintain professional competency through continuous education and training, take part in competency assessments, and mentor junior nurses and new team members.
• Support nursing and departmental initiatives, assist Nurse Managers and Nurse Clinicians in implementing policies and processes, and take part in hospital projects and committees.

Required profile

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification in Nursing.
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a valid Practising Certificate.
• Experience in acute, community, rehabilitation, ambulatory or specialty settings is an advantage.
