Senior UI/UX Designer for Ministry of National Development

About the role

GovTech is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the end‑to‑end user experience for digital products serving the Municipal Services Office and the Ministry of National Development. You will shape problem framing, user journeys, and design direction from discovery through delivery, impacting public‑facing websites, mobile apps, backend processes, and enforcement workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full design lifecycle for a core enterprise product, from research and concept development to validation and delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering leads to define product strategy and ensure the right problems are solved.
• Apply qualitative and quantitative user research and testing to create user‑centric solutions.
• Develop and evolve design patterns and standards aligned with Government Digital Service Standards.
• Work within a cross‑functional product team, partnering closely with product and engineering while receiving mentorship from the Design Lead.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer handling complex, enterprise‑scale digital services.
• Ability to frame problems, define strategy, and drive design decisions autonomously.
• Strong research mindset with experience in both qualitative and quantitative testing methods.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
