Senior Vice President, Cross-Disciplinary Controls Group Manager

About the role

Citi is hiring a Senior Vice President, Cross-Disciplinary Controls Group Manager (hybrid, internal title C14) based in Singapore. The role covers a broad range of in-business and function risk and control responsibilities, including assessment and design, MCA, QA, monitoring and testing, issue management and governance reporting and analysis, rather than focusing on one specific area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a large team of professionals and junior managers and drive project optimization and efficiencies
• Assess the effectiveness of existing controls, recommend improvements and drive controls enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce risk
• Drive execution of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and adherence to Risk Management and Compliance policies
• Support oversight of the MCA program, including annual, semi-annual, quarterly and monthly attestations, quality oversight and reporting
• Coordinate and manage issues with key stakeholders, run issue quality reviews and develop standard and risk controls reporting
• Oversee governance committee operations, including meeting coordination, agendas and follow-up on action items
• Assess risk in business decisions, escalate and report control issues transparently, and supervise teams to hold people accountable

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit or other control-related functions in financial services
• Proven track record leading control-related projects and programs
• Expert knowledge of controls, compliance laws and regulations, and of Citi's policies, standards and procedures

Required skills

• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to present to and influence executive audiences
• Exceptional command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
