Senior Vice President, Managed Solutions Governance (Private Banking)

About the role

DBS Private Banking offers a full-service, personalised banking service for clients in Asia, supported by investment advisors and partnerships within the DBS network and with global institutions. The Managed Solutions Governance team head is responsible for implementing a robust governance framework and overseeing end-to-end activities across products and services such as Discretionary Mandates, Alternative Investments and Wealth Planning. This is a full-time, regular schedule position based in DBS Asia Central.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing governance team, setting its strategic direction, priorities and objectives in line with business goals.
• Provide governance advice in Management Committees, offering critical challenge, strategic guidance and sound judgment on risk and regulatory matters.
• Partner with the business in designing and implementing governance frameworks, consulting with stakeholders in the first and second lines.
• Identify emerging and operational risks from thematic reviews and control assessments, anticipate their implications and implement pragmatic solutions.
• Oversight that Product teams follow best practice, internal policies, regulations and the bank's risk appetite.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen technical expertise and critical thinking.
• Drive continuous governance improvements, operational efficiencies and innovation, including GenAI-enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Accountancy or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in governance, product or risk management within Wealth Management or Asset Management.
• Strong product knowledge of Discretionary Portfolio Management, Alternative Investments and/or Variable Capital Companies (VCCs).
• Proven people leadership experience leading, mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong execution, critical judgment and decision-making, able to handle ambiguity and make reasoned recommendations.
• Analytical capability, including building dashboards and data-driven insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
