Senior/Executive AI Security Engineer

About the role

An experienced AI Security Engineer is sought to join a rail cybersecurity team. The role acts as an internal authority on AI security, guiding project teams on how to secure AI systems throughout the full development lifecycle, reviewing submissions and ensuring they meet international standards and industry best practice. It is based in an Operational Technology (OT) rail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert and authority on AI security across the railway domain
• Guide project and engineering teams on secure AI design, implementation and deployment
• Review AI security submissions, documentation and artefacts against standards such as MITRE ATLAS, OWASP ML Security Top 10 and IEC/ISO standards
• Develop and maintain AI security standards, guidelines and reference frameworks
• Advise on AI supply chain risks, including third-party models, frameworks and datasets
• Support incident response for AI system anomalies or security events in an advisory capacity
• Stay current with emerging AI security threats and engage with OT teams on their operational constraints

Required profile

• Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in AI security with exposure to AI or machine learning systems
• Knowledge of AI security frameworks and standards (MITRE ATLAS, OWASP ML Security Top 10, NIST AI RMF)
• Ability to review technical submissions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to learn about OT environments and their security constraints

Required skills

• Machine learning concepts and associated security risks (model poisoning, adversarial attacks, data integrity, model inversion, inference attacks)
• Familiarity with the AI/ML development lifecycle
• Good to have: LLM and GenAI security knowledge, OT/ICS experience, relevant AI/ML security certifications
