Senior/Executive, Emergency Preparedness (Contract)

About the role

NHG is hiring a Senior/Executive, Emergency Preparedness (contract) to act as the NHGP EP Coordinator. The role covers emergency preparedness, security, data analytics and Ministry of Health (MOH) projects, including liaison with the MOH and related agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with the MOH and related agencies and ensure the NHGP is operationally ready for emergencies such as civil emergencies, pandemic outbreaks, national emergencies, power outages and fires.
• Support new polyclinic planning on infrastructure and staff training for emergency preparedness requirements.
• Work with polyclinics to run table-top and full-scale exercises and drills to test SOPs and revise plans.
• Organise and deliver briefing and training on emergency preparedness and security.
• Act as alternate point of contact for security under the MOH Security Framework, propose and implement security initiatives, and set up the NHGP Security Committee.
• Review and improve security measures, liaise with the Singapore Police Force, and advise on security needs in new polyclinic infrastructure.
• Run exercises such as a bomb-threat scenario and coordinate security-related training for clinic staff.
• Drive a data-driven culture, develop KPIs and reports on EP and security performance.
• Take part in MOH projects such as the MCI sub-working group, the Ex RAVEN project, and represent the MOH in emergency operations committees.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of emergency planning and management.
• Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and to collaborate across diverse groups.
• Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills, and ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
• Integrity, professionalism, self-motivation and teamwork.

Required skills

• Excellent writing and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
