Senior/Staff Program Manager - Sustainability Operations

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Global Sustainability Operations (Senior/Staff) Program Manager. The role directs the strategy, delivery and governance of sustainability initiatives, focusing on water conservation and sustainability cost management across operating locations. It turns long-term sustainability goals into near-term execution plans, drives cross-functional alignment, improves financial and reporting rigor, and supports executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead short-term planning and implementation of sustainability programs, with a focus on water conservation and cost management, and set short-term strategies aligned to long-term goals
• Build and run governance mechanisms, reporting cadences and performance visibility across sites, and coordinate external consultants and auditors
• Use digital tools, analytics, automation and AI-enabled approaches to improve data flow, forecasting and reporting
• Manage sustainability cost control, including CAPEX/OPEX forecasting, budgeting, tracking, reporting and modelling, and partner with finance on project economics and capital justification
• Present progress and recommendations to executive leadership and support audit readiness and data assurance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Manufacturing, Facilities or a related field
• At least 2 years' experience in facilities engineering, manufacturing, process operations, sustainability operations or similar industrial environments
• Experience in budgeting, financial modelling, CAPEX/OPEX tracking and project justification
• Preferred: sustainability reporting, compliance or audit support experience
• Preferred: exposure to AI, automation or digitalization in operational environments
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (about 10% of the time)

Required skills

• Strong program management skills and ability to lead initiatives across functions and sites
• Analytical, reporting and dashboarding skills
• Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with SAP, ServiceNow or similar enterprise tools is advantageous
