SEO Specialist for Editorial Rewrite Tool

About the role

We are looking for an SEO Specialist to help improve the visibility of Penwick, an editorial rewrite tool. The role focuses on auditing the current site, refining keyword strategy, and identifying safe backlink opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Review the existing SEO setup for trypenwick.com, including metadata, page titles, descriptions, internal links, sitemap, redirects, and indexability.
• Audit the homepage and overall site structure to pinpoint issues preventing proper indexing in Google Search Console.
• Analyze the current blog strategy and keyword targeting, and uncover long‑tail keyword opportunities.
• Recommend which keywords should be targeted on the homepage, blog posts, FAQs, directories, and backlinks.
• Suggest safe backlink sources such as AI tool directories and writing/productivity directories.
• Propose 3‑5 additional content pieces with realistic search potential, while preserving the brand tone.
• Avoid risky language related to bypassing AI detectors.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting comprehensive SEO audits for SaaS or editorial tools.
• Strong understanding of Google Search Console, indexing issues, and on‑page optimization.
• Ability to develop keyword strategies that align with business goals and brand voice.
