SmartStart Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Develop, implement and maintain start‑up methods and processes for semiconductor equipment assemblies. Lead digitalized start‑up procedures and drive automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain field digitalized start‑up procedures (iOMS) for Tier 0 & Tier 1 operations.
• Manage Bill of Materials (BoM) integrity across multiple configuration sources.
• Drive automation initiatives to shorten production and delivery cycles.
• Review field non‑conformances, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate technical issues, RIT initiatives and new technology introductions across business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 4 years experience with semiconductor equipment in manufacturing or field service.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across time zones and travel internationally (~10%).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with semiconductor process equipment (MDP, EPI, ALD, CMP).
• Understanding of mechanical, digitalization and automation concepts.
• Proficiency reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of system BoM structure and assembly procedures.
• CAD (SolidWorks), CAM (NX), SAP and MS Office.
