Social Worker, Transitional Shelter

About the role

Allkin Singapore’s Transitional Shelter seeks a dedicated Social Worker to support homeless individuals and families. You will provide comprehensive casework, facilitate therapeutic groups, and coordinate discharge plans to help clients achieve long‑term housing stability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage referrals, assessments, admissions and ensure suitability for shelter intervention.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop case plans and deliver interventions for residents.
• Build therapeutic relationships, focusing on children and vulnerable family members.
• Organise case conferences with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate service delivery with community partners and monitor integrated support.
• Plan, facilitate and evaluate therapeutic group programmes.
• Develop discharge and transition plans, including post‑discharge follow‑ups.
• Maintain accurate case records and prepare required reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a Post‑Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
• Minimum 2 years of direct social work practice with vulnerable individuals or families.
• Strong knowledge of casework, group work and community resources within the social service ecosystem.
