Software Application Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Application Developer to join NETS Solutions’ Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) team. You will be responsible for application development, customer delivery and support, and production L3 maintenance for our financial market solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in requirement elicitation and produce technical and operations documentation.
• Collaborate with Solution Architect/Technical Lead to analyse and design code changes.
• Implement code changes, perform unit, system and integration testing, and ensure compliance with coding, security standards and corporate processes.
• Provide support during system integration testing, acceptance testing and post‑cutover implementation for internal and external customers.
• Assist in creating training materials and delivering presentations.
• Participate in a duty roster to deliver PROD L3 software maintenance support as scheduled.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of hands‑on experience in Java/JEE development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Domain knowledge in financial industry or payments systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Java/JEE, Spring 5.x, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security.
• SQL/PLSQL, Oracle and/or MySQL.
• XML, RESTful APIs.
• Web technologies: HTML5, CSS, Angular (v5+), React or other open‑source JavaScript frameworks.
• Micro‑services architecture and cloud‑based technologies.
• Messaging middleware such as Kafka, IBM MQ or Solace.
• Experience with AI/ML integration, prompt engineering or MLOps (optional).
• Application automation testing (optional).
