Software Developer (Rust/Python) – APAC

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to design and build software that powers our energy trading business across the APAC region. You will take ownership of projects, ship high‑quality code and work with the latest technologies in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and maintain scalable, reliable software in Rust and Python, covering ETL pipelines, trade reconciliation and position management.
• Own the full development lifecycle: translate business needs into design, write clean production‑ready code and deploy on Kubernetes via secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AI‑driven coding assistants to accelerate delivery while retaining architectural decision‑making.
• Collaborate directly with traders, quants and analysts to create tools that support their decision‑making.
• Continuously improve existing systems for performance, robustness and maintainability.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience writing clean, maintainable code, preferably in a functional style (Rust, OCaml or similar).
• Proven ability to own end‑to‑end implementations, from requirements to production.
• Strong mental model for complex systems and a focus on simple, elegant design.
• Fluent with AI coding tools and good judgment on when to use them.
• Self‑driven, proactive, urgent and able to deliver future‑proof solutions.
• Team‑oriented with strong communication skills.
