Software Engineer – Agile Development for Singapore Security

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join ISD’s agile development team, building and supporting enterprise ICT systems that protect Singapore’s internal security. You will work in a SCRUM environment, taking on front‑end, back‑end or middleware tasks while collaborating with product owners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Apply software development methodologies and programming patterns to deliver efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Implement UI best practices for optimal user experiences using ReactJS, JavaScript and CSS.
• Design, code, test, debug and document software according to functional requirements.
• Advocate agile principles and participate in SCRUM ceremonies to ensure timely delivery.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, security scans, testing and deployment.
• Create and update end‑user and technical documentation.
• Analyse, diagnose and resolve operational issues and support application maintenance.
• Collaborate with product owners and process owners to re‑engineer business processes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective team player who can also work independently and is self‑driven.
• Singapore citizenship (only Singaporeans may apply).
