Software Engineer – All Levels (Defence & AI)

About the role

EOS Innovation Singapore is looking for software engineers at any experience level to develop advanced defence and AI products. The role is hands‑on, embedded in multidisciplinary teams that combine mechanical, electronic, optical and systems engineering, and focuses on turning prototype capabilities into robust, production‑ready software.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, integrate and maintain software for complex defence systems, including equipment interfacing, control functions, data processing and user‑facing applications.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electronic, optical and systems engineers to integrate software with prototypes, experimental hardware and embedded devices.
• Translate engineering requirements into practical software designs and support verification, validation, safety and compliance activities.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues encountered during development, integration, testing and production support.
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation such as design descriptions, interface definitions, test procedures and manufacturing support material.
• Apply sound software engineering practices, including version control, code review, debugging, testing and configuration management.
• For senior candidates, lead software design activities, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers and guide design reviews.

Required profile

• Strong technical foundation in software development, with a willingness to work close to hardware and prototypes.
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Problem‑solving mindset and capacity to handle evolving product requirements.
• For senior roles, demonstrated experience delivering software for engineered products or integrated systems and providing technical leadership.

Required skills

• Software development and integration experience.
• Familiarity with equipment interfacing, control and automation concepts.
• Understanding of algorithm implementation and user‑interface development.
• Experience with version control, code review and testing practices.
