About the role

The Recommendation Architecture team at TikTok is looking for a Software Engineer focused on big‑data and real‑time computing. You will help design and build the core data pipelines that power recommendation, video, live‑stream and e‑commerce experiences for billions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement real‑time (streaming) data systems for large‑scale recommendation platforms.
• Build flexible, scalable, high‑performance storage solutions and computing models.
• Troubleshoot production failures and develop tools to ensure system stability and high availability.
• Collaborate with the team to abstract common real‑time computing components into reusable middleware.

Required profile

• Professional experience in building large‑scale data processing or recommendation systems.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment.
• Experience with high‑throughput, low‑latency systems.
