Software Engineer (Embedded)

About the role

Thales is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join its Singapore Engineering Competence Centre. You will work on the design, implementation, validation and deployment of embedded applications for mobile and IoT devices used in digital identity, mobile payment and connectivity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and deploy new software components such as advanced security mechanisms and next‑generation IoT connectivity protocols.
• Participate in the development of next‑generation operating systems for future devices.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with teams worldwide to deliver high‑quality products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product and development methodologies.

Required profile

• Proficient in Embedded C/Java development and VB.NET for validation.
• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Knowledge of smartcard technology, embedded software security and/or Javacard is a plus.
• Prior experience as a software engineer is advantageous.
• Experience testing and debugging embedded devices using emulators or simulators.
