Software Engineer II – Google Pay & Wallet

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the Google Pay and Wallet team in Singapore. You will help design, develop, and maintain the global payment journey platform, working across the full stack to deliver high‑scale, reliable services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate features for Google Pay’s global business payment flows.
• Maintain and improve the end‑to‑end service lifecycle, including productionization, monitoring, alerting, and on‑call support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in the US, India, and Singapore covering Platforms, Product, Trust & Safety, Risk, Marketing, Design, and Content.
• Align development work with the long‑term vision for Google Pay and contribute to roadmap execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience in full‑stack development, testing, and launching software products.
• Experience with large‑scale application design and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
