Software Engineer III – Google Pay & Wallet

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Google Pay and Wallet team in Singapore. You will help design, develop, and maintain the end‑to‑end payment journey for global businesses, working across a full‑stack environment and collaborating with cross‑functional teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate features for Google Pay’s global business payment solutions.
• Maintain and improve the full‑stack architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Own the end‑to‑end service lifecycle, including productionization, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, trust, safety, risk, marketing, design, and content teams across the US and India.
• Align development work with Google Pay’s long‑term strategic goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Experience in a full‑stack development environment and in testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• Experience designing large‑scale applications and architectures.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with tech leads, product managers, and cross‑functional partners.
